     I was born on May 29, 1945 in the city of Leningrad.
I graduated from the Physics Department of the Leningrad State
University, finished my post-graduate course and defended my
master's thesis in 1971; I have a Ph.D. in physics and mathematics.
From 1971 to 1992 I was engaged in physics of solid state, computer
physics and problems of spectral analysis; I worked as a laborator
head at the Institute of scientific instruments making, about one
hundred of my scientific papers including three books were published.
     In 1991 I started translating from English into Russian
(fiction), after that I started writing my own novels. At the moment
I am a professional writer, a member of the St.Petersburg Union of
Writers. I work in the adventure and fantasy genres, deal with a number
of Russian publishing houses, newspapers, magazines and write popular
scientific books. All in all I had about 120 books published, the total
number of copies amounts to more than four million (translations,
reprints, my own novels under various pen names).
     I have a co-author in the UK - professional editor and writer
Christopher Gilmore.
